Today, we're excited to share that <Human id="julia-zettel" /> is joining the Resend team as a Video Producer.

Julia brings more than a decade of experience in video and storytelling, with work across brands like [Zee.Dog](https://www.zeedog.com.br/) and [Globo](https://redeglobo.globo.com/). At Resend, she'll help us explore new ways to communicate with customers and produce more original content.

As we grow, we want to tell more stories beyond the product itself, through video, education, launches, and the people building with Resend. Julia will help us make that happen.

## More about Julia

**How did you get into video producing?**

My dad is a TV Director and my mom was a Music Producer, so I guess I've been surrounded by the AV world my whole life. Growing up on TV sets and around music venues was kind of fascinating, and somehow it became a big part of my life. So when it was time to choose a career, Social Communication and AV were the natural choices.

When I was in school, I discovered that I'm really passionate about telling stories and building narratives, and that images were the medium I liked most for communicating with the world.

So I became a video producer.

**Why are you at Resend?**

I started out helping the team with some video editing, then we took on a full producing and filming project together, and everything worked out so well that I ended up joining the team full time. I couldn't be happier. I really admire Resend, the design, the attention to detail… and I felt like I belonged from the very first time I got in touch with the team. So I'm super excited to now be a part of it.

**Where do you find #inspiration?**

I really try to practice being attentive and look for references in everyday life: movies, music videos, my travels, cool places I go to, like coffee shops or restaurants.

But the digital world also plays a big role in it, so I like to follow brands or pages that share great online content on Instagram or YouTube. I'm a big fan of [*Rapha Films*](https://www.youtube.com/raphafilms), and recently [*Figma*](https://www.figma.com/) has been doing some really cool videos as well.

**If you weren't a video producer, what would you be doing?**

I like to think that I'd work in something related to travel, like an outdoor photography guide or a B&B owner.

Or maybe own a cool coffee shop in some mountain town.

**Favorite tool?**

Adobe Premiere, couldn't say any other! It's the one I use most every day, and it works great for me. I'll also give an honorable mention to Adobe Podcast, which has become a lifesaver for noisy or windy audio recordings.

**Favorite hotkey?**

`Command + Tab`

Love switching between my apps

**Favorite place to visit?**

Serra do Cipó - MG - Brazil. A small town about a couple hours from Belo Horizonte, with the most striking landscapes, full of mountains and waterfalls. It's one of the most famous and incredible rock climbing destinations in Brazil, and a place that always makes me feel so good.

**Advice for ambitious video producers?**

Say yes to projects that scare you a little, they're great for learning and getting you out of your comfort zone, and they usually end up being the most fulfilling once you deliver.

Also, these days, with so many online tutorials and AI, try to learn from actual people as well. Find those you admire, ask what they're doing and how they're doing it. Tools are great, and they're there for us to use, but they're not the only way.
